First I'd like to apologize for the lack of updates recently. Please be assured that Educask is very much in active development.
I've recently (in the past three weeks) have decided to temporarily stop commiting code changes to the Nightly repository on Github. The reason for this is because the Educask Core has taken on a very different shape than what can be found in the Github repository. The changes are to increase security; improve standards; and make things easier to understand for developers. The documentation will be updated shortly to match the new Core.
Some of the exciting changes are:
- the application layout looks more like a typical Model-View-Controller application.
- HTTP sessions are, I believe, are more secure then the default PHP sessions: sessions are stored, encrypted, in the database
- modules will be given control on the HTTP response.
- A cleaner API.
In summary you can say that the changes are a cleanup and code review. I believe that the changes make the Educask Core feel more like a web development framework than before. Keep your eye on the Guthub repository within the coming weeks to see the changes!
If you would like to know more or are interested in helping out the Educask project, feel free to contact me. I'll be more than happy, probably even beyond ecstatic, to answer any of your questions regarding Educask.
